The Motorvate Young Driver Program is a professionally developed course for senior school students, whichever stream of education they're following, and is designed and constantly evaluated by a qualified special education teacher. The course, designed to fit into school hours, explores attitudes and behaviour so that young drivers are aware of their thoughts and emotions toward driving. The Program is also equally relevant for drivers who have left school - P-Platers or even older young drivers.
The highly effective and fascinating day comprises interesting discussion sessions and plenty of practical driving, learning how to avoid emergencies but also how to control life-threatening situations. You can use one of our fantastic Kia Rio's or bring your own car. Either way, you will gain life-saving information from real experts, and be so much more aware of your own skills and attitude.
The course is particularly relevant for young drivers who can participate as part of their school curriculum, such as VCAL students in Victoria, because these students love being part of a fascinating, fun program which they can also use as a key part of their school learning. Teachers love this too, because their students are thoroughly engaged and motivated (Motorvated?) to participate fully in the learning. Victorian VCAL teachers are welcome to ask for a copy of our VCAL Learning Outcomes, which provide learning ideas and extension activities in each of the five VCAL Learning Outcome areas.
And yes, the students do get to drive! The practical sessions teach invaluable lessons about excessive speed, stopping distances and how quickly emergencies can develop. We supply everything - including brand new cars to drive!
All you need to do is organise transport to our venues, located conveniently in the eastern and western suburbs of Melbourne, the western suburbs of Sydney, as well as in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Hobart - and in most country centres nationally.
